Château Teynac is a Saint Julien unlike any other. Its grape varieties are traditional for Medoc wines: a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Merlot (28%) and Petit Verdot (2%): a proportion varying slightly depending on the vintage at the time of blending. The vines used to produce it are surrounded by those classified as Cru which constitute 95% of the appellation.

From one of the rare Saint-Julien estates that is not classified, the wine is spicy and stylish with finely wrought tannins. Black currant fruits from the Cabernet Sauvignon dominate the wine, giving further potential. Drink from 2025.
